Minkahaus is a renovation project on mountain and forest land north of Kyoto. While the physical project is under construction, an immersive digital landscape can be visited.
Borrowing from the Japanese concept of tsu-tsu-mu (the art of packaging), the digital landscape is introduced to the visitor in phases. Showing color and forms at first and introducing content after entering. For each visit the site receives live-data from the land itself, showing localised time and weather conditions. Depending on these factors, the visitor is offered a specific color palette. The design system is modular and allows the digital landscape to be filled with images, sounds and data over time.
